Desertpaw is a very quiet tom. He doesn't speak up much, and hates loud noises. He sits in the background, away from others, and often zones out a lot, which causes him to not pay much attention to his surroundings and gets him labeled as a bit of a klutz and a scatter-brain. His zoning out often causes him to not pay attention to lessons, and makes it hard for him to learn, which shows when he fights because he often gets beaten. He's very soft-hearted and hates having to hurt another cat, but he is also very cowardly and will run away from a fight if he can.
His timid nature is the reason he exiled himself from his clan. He ran away from protecting his clan-mates, and ended up leaving claw clan for good after the battle with the Claws. He hopes he'll be better off alone, but doesn't think he'll make it very far considering he can't even protect himself, and knows if he were to get cornered he wouldn't be able to fight his way out.
